Geekay Industries (India) was founded in the year 1956, with specialization in machine parts fabrication. Thereafter the firm moved ahead in fabricating, Diesel locomotive engine parts, and other railway supplies. In the beginning of the 90’s, the firm dynamically moved ahead in the arena of manufacturing and supply of lifting tackles and loose gears together with a Load Testing Test house (Government approved) for testing lifting tackles and loose gears, under the competency obtained from the Directorate General and Chief Inspector of Dock Safety under the Dock Workers (Safety, Health & Welfare) Regulations, 1990 and thereafter from Director of Industrial Safety & Health under the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health Rules, 1963.
Today, the group has diversified growth in the areas of tensile testing, supply and trading of lifting tackles and equipments, supply of steel sheets, plates, coils, marketing of real estate products viz:- land blocks, flats, affordable housing etc.
The third generation of the family has dynamically spear headed to take this group ahead in various avenues of business, from business and process consulting to trading of hardware and steel products. Each aspect and specialization of each field is highlighted in relevant sections.
